Alexander Baumgartner has officially assumed his role as CEO of flexible packaging company Constantia Flexibles. His appointment became effective on October 1, 2015. He succeeds Thomas Unger, who previously led the Group as CEO since 2011.

"I am really looking forward to my new tasks,” Baumgartner says. “The company is on track for another record year, so I am very proud to join the successful Constantia Flexibles team as its newest member. We will increase our efficiency efforts and strengthen our process and product innovation. I am confident that we will lead the company to more success as we push forward with our global growth strategy.”

Since 2010, Baumgartner was president of the Beauty & Home Aptargroup division for Europe, where he played a significant role in leading its reorganization and developing and implementing a European manufacturing strategy. He has previously worked for Germany’s STI Group and Austria’s Mayr-Melnhof Group.

He is a graduate of Wirtschaftsuniversität in Vienna and Luigi Bocconi University in Milan.
