Daetwyler has introduced its Optilife coating. With this new combination, the 100 percent non-corrosive Optilife Plus blade has a softer, gentler point of contact, making it an excellent choice for water-based inks. This has resulted in a significant longer blade life, superior printed image for both flexo and gravure printers, the company says. The new Optilife Plus doctor blade has performed even better than expected and is being used successfully in printing plants around the world, adds the company.
