Plastic Packaging Technologies, LLC (PPT), a leading U.S. manufacturer of flexible packaging, is pleased to announce Jessica Lanter and John Kennedy have joined the firm in key technical and packaging engineering roles. Jessica will serve as director of product development, and John Kennedy as packaging engineering manager. PPT is also completing construction of a 14,000 square foot expansion and renovation of its facilities in Kansas City, Kansas, which includes a state-of-the-art packaging engineering lab as part of its continued focus on delivering high-end, value-added flexible packaging solutions.

Lanter earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas and an MBA from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She has more than 15 years’ experience in packaging, having served in technical leadership roles at Colgate-Palmolive and an entrepreneurial spin-off, VVF, a global leader in manufacturing of personal care products. Kennedy earned a B.S. in Packaging Engineering from Michigan State University and joins PPT following a productive career at ConAgra Foods where he served as a packaging engineer, gaining experience in various packaging materials and formats including flexible films. The two will lead the continued development of PPT’s technical and packaging engineering group, along with Stephen Langridge, driving innovation and product development in the company’s new packaging engineering lab, which will facilitate effective collaboration and development of innovative packaging solutions that deliver function, performance, and powerful shelf presence.
