Toray Plastics America wins safety award

Toray Plastics (America) Inc. has received "The Excellence in Safety Performance and Records" Award in the Providence Business News' second annual Manufacturing Awards competition.

The 2015 award was presented to Michael Brandmeier, president and CEO of Toray Plastics (America); Mark Murphy, editor of PBN, at an award ceremony held on April 2 at Bryant University.
 
Roger Bergenheim, president and publisher of PBN, notes, "Toray's commitment to the safety of its staff sets a very high standard for other manufacturers to emulate. Companies such as Toray are the reason PBN believed it was time to celebrate the success, innovation, and growth of our region's best manufacturers."
 
"The safety of our employees has always been our utmost concern and we are very grateful for this recognition, and for the efforts of our employees who make safety a priority every day," says Brandmeier. He also applauded the accomplishments of the other eleven manufacturing awardees and PBN's decision to bring positive attention to Rhode Island's manufacturing sector.
