DuPont Packaging Graphics has announced the introduction of the DuPont Cyrel Quality Assured Platemaking program. This updated program builds on the 15-year tradition of the Cyrel QA Tradeshop program, and is now being offered to both printers and tradeshops in North America who process digital Cyrel plates.
“The flexographic industry has grown, flexo prepress has become more complicated and platemaking has proliferated since DuPont first established a quality assurance program,” says Wendy Andrushko, North American business director for DuPont Packaging Graphics. “Being recognized as a DuPont Cyrel Quality Assured Platemaker is designed to inspire confidence from the market in our customers’ ability to deliver consistently superior quality press-ready plates that optimize their brand image and competitive edge.”
Under the program, technical experts based at the DuPont Cyrel Customer Technology Center provide applicants with test files that are imaged and processed in either a standard digital or flat top digital workflow. Finished digital Cyrel plates are then carefully examined to provide platemakers with a detailed analysis and specific feedback on plate quality as well as recommendations for improvement, if needed. Cyrel customers who are recognized as a part of this program will be listed as DuPont Cyrel Quality Assured Platemakers on the DuPont Packaging Graphics website, and will receive an award plaque for display.
