Narrow-web label printing system company Afinia Label has completed a reseller’s agreement with Lofton Label Inc. of Inver Grove Heights, Minn. Under this agreement,Lofton Label will sell the Afinia Label R635 label printer, the Label L801 and related supplies.

“I am pleased to work with Lofton Label. Lofton Label has an excellent management team and one of the most experienced sales staff in the industry,” says Mike Atkins, national sales manager for Afinia Label. “It shows through their unparalleled commitment the flexible packaging and labeling needs of their customers.”

The Afinia Label L801 is powered by Memjet technology, which gives it a print speed of 60 feet per minute and an industry-leading ink cost of less than 3 cents for a 4-by-6-inch label with 75 percent coverage. This is a fraction of the cost of other inkjet label printers. The L801 supports three print modes: RolltoRoll, RolltoCut, and Print & Hold.

“Lofton Label sees a great deal of potential with Afinia’s line of label printers,” says Micheal Lane, CEO of Lofton Label. “The R635 fits the bill for many of our chemical customers who previously struggled to find the right solution to print full-color GHS compliant labels ahead of the OSHA mandates. And the L801 is truly impressive with its high resolution, speed and low operating cost.”

Afinia Label emerged as a digital label printing system leader in 2012 when they collaborated with Memjet to create a commercially viable narrow web label printing solution. Afinia Label is now one of the largest distributors of Memjet-based label printers in the world.
