Lofton Label installs HP digital press

Lofton Label recently installed the HP Indigo WS66000 digital press at its Inver Grove Heights, Minn. facility.
Lofton Label has announced that it has expanded its label-printing capabilities with the addition of a new HP Indigo WS66000 digital press. This is Lofton’s second digital press, furthering its ability to meet changing customer needs for speed and quality.

"A primary advantage of digital printing is the ability to order less product more often, and in a variety of SKUs, so customers can make last-minute changes, minimize inventory concerns and achieve lower print costs," says Mike Lane, CEO of Lofton Label. "This variability, along with speed of processing and delivery, is key for many customers. Lofton was an early adopter of digital technology and we continue to invest in this area so our customers can have peace of mind that their label needs and business needs will be met."

By eliminating the need to pretreat the printing substrate and instead, priming the material in-line, the WS66000 will allow Lofton to print in a more efficient manner and to make the entire process smoother and faster, while reducing the potential for error.

Other advantages of the new Lofton HP digital press include outstanding graphics quality, with 97 percent color matching based on seven ink stations rather than four, the capability to print variable data projects, and the capability to print on many different materials, including flexible packaging and eco-friendly materials, like substrates and primers. This is in line with Lofton’s environmental policy of producing no hazardous waste or volatile organic compounds.
