When I started on this magazine in 2010, I was excited and a little apprehensive about the subject. How much editorial coverage could such a niche market have? And then I found out: This industry is in the midst of a boom that is dynamic, exciting and moving quickly.
That’s where you come in. All of your hard work, innovation and creative thinking have brought this industry where it is today. You’ve communicated your needs to your suppliers, listened to your customers and their customers, and have made a product that you can be proud of, all while maintaining the margins. Kudos to you!
We’ve chosen the November issue to commemorate our 15 Year Anniversary! Yes, our publication has been circulating for 15 years, and I’m happy to report that we have never been stronger! My national advertising manager Kristina Lorio and I have diligently worked to connect you with your partnering companies, and present you with information that you can use in your day-to-day operations.
In compiling this issue, I set out to make sure we had content that was as reflective as it is predictive. Dennis Calamusa penned an article on the Standup Pouch and its future promise, on page 26. The History of Scrap and how it is impacting the industry in a positive way can be found on page 34. And the FPA’s Marla Donahue has generously written an article for us about FP’s relationship with the FPA, and how the flexible packaging industry is faring overall. These are just a few of the many articles you will find in this month’s issue.
I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate and notice your efforts. Please continue to strive for the best, be proud of your work, and the industry will continue to thrive and grow!
Until next time!
Sincerely,
