Pallavi Joyappa has been named chief operating officer of Emerald Packaging, one of the largest flexible packaging manufacturers on the West Coast and one of the biggest suppliers of produce packaging in the country. In this role she is responsible for the implementation and optimization of the company's daily operations, including account and product management, new program and project development, quality assurance and compliance.

Joyappa joined Emerald Packaging in 2005 as a process control engineer and has risen through the ranks within the company, most recently serving as director of operations. Prior to joining Emerald, she worked at Precision Press, a label, flexible packaging and forms company. Originally from Bangalore, India, Joyappa earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Bangalore University and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Wisconsin. She is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ).
