Lengerich, Germany-based machinery manufacturer, Windmöller & Hölscher, will showcase the new Topas SL high-output form fill seal line, which will be introduced for the first time at this year's Interpack in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The Topas SL was launched last spring and embodies four generations of international experience and expertise. With output of more
than 2,600 bags per hour, Topas SL is currently the fastest line of its kind in the world. The presentation in Hall 15, Stand C 41 will be supplemented with
a simultaneous in-house expo at company headquarters in Lengerich. At the expo, customers will see running machinery not only for free flowing bulk
goods, but also the VistaFlex CX 8, the new super-wide flexographic press. Garant Maschinen, a member of the W&H Group, will co-exhibit and run a Triumph paper bag machine at the booth.
With hundreds of installations worldwide, the Topas has become the world's best-selling FFS machine for free flowing bulk solids and therefore written
bagging history. Machine operators value its performance, reliability, accuracy and easy handling. There is hardly a segment in the bulk solids
spectrum for which the Topas has not set the standards for modern and efficient bagging, while its universal applicability has continued to impress.
The Topas SL continues its success story with the positive attributes that have brought this concept of FFS bagging to the forefront, including the high-quality standard of the machine construction, the variations of the model and proven experience of W&H, and most importantly, the wealth of innovation, that opens new opportunities for manufacturers. Other highlights of the Topas SL include easier operation, 20 percent increased output and price-performance ratio.
The Topas SL differentiates itself conceptually and in many details from its predecessor, starting with the significantly improved accessibility offered through the open frame structure and the large, transparent safety doors. Additionally, the newly designed operator touch screen is as easy and intuitive to use as a smart phone. The intensified top and bottom seam cooling maintains consistently high load-bearing capability of the seams even with the now much shorter processing cycles.
Another modern element is the extent of electronic support systems, of which the new messaging system is but one example. Beyond text instructions, it
offers graphic representations and videos on the screen to help operators locate and resolve problems on site.
A wide size range, universal sealing technology, diverse dosing methods, highly accurate weighing technology and extensive additional options leave
nothing to wish for. Topas SL's compact construction is perfect for both mobile and stationary bagging. Rail and wheel platforms allow efficient bagging of a variety of products or batches that are seen on agendas in logistics terminals. Differing bulk density, particle size and flow properties of products to be bagged are taken care of by tailored product feeding and weighing systems as well as by the specially adapted design of the drop chute and the filling hopper.
W&H subsidiary, Garant Maschinen (Lengerich, Germany) complements W&H in Düsseldorf with a small size block bottom bag machine from the Triumphrange that has a number of new features. Garant expects to create a lot of attention among industry experts through the daily demonstrations of this extensively reworked machine.
The in-house expo in Lengerich, running parallel to the interpack, offers much more to see. The expo, which W&H usually offers during other industry fairs, is a first-time in the context of the Interpack.
Aside from FFS technology, the expo will host the premiere of the superwide 2,200 mm VistaFlex CX 8 flexographic CI press. The presentation will focus on the press's top quality and output as well as on its easy handling of sleeves and anilox rolls.
W&H will provide expo visitors with round-trip transportation between the Düsseldorf fair grounds and Lengerich.
At the stand, W&H will have experts on hand to offer comprehensive information about solutions for the entire spectrum of industrial and consumer
packaging, including extrusion, printing and converting machinery for paper, film, laminates and wovens.
