The Festo exhibit at Converters Expo 2014 in Green Bay, WI offers a wide range of pneumatic actuators and control solutions designed for systematically quicker paper and pulp production, reduction of overall costs, and ultimately more intelligent process and factory automation from a single source.
“Transferring advanced designs and systems from the industrial sector to paper and pulp manufacturing delivers a host of advantages,” says Jacqueline MacPherson, segment manger of printing, paper and converting at Festo. “The benefits of one-stop-shop, proven off-the-shelf Festo products, single point of contact for support and drop-in, ready-to-install process automation systems are compelling when considering total cost of ownership.”
Festo will be showcasing its MS service units, designed to help original equipment manufacturers meet the requirements of the EC Machinery Directive. The MS6-SV-E pressure build-up and exhaust valve employs a two channel control to prevent unexpected start-up. The exhaust flow rate is 1.5 times the pressurizing flow rate, ensuring a fast system exhaust.
Additional automated valves, cylinders, electric drives, air preparation systems, and safety systems will be on exhibit as well.
