Wide-format printing leader Roland Corp. has announced its schedule of 2014 “Born-to-Wrap” workshops, offering comprehensive, hands-on vehicle wrap instruction from some of the top experts in the industry.
Held at various locations across the country, including Roland DGA headquarters in Irvine, Calif, the Digital EFX Wraps facility in Louisville, Ky., and the Richard Childress Racing Graphics Center in Welcome, N.C., Roland’s two-day Born-to-Wrap workshops provide extensive vehicle design, production and installation training, as well as valuable “real-world” business tips for operating a successful vehicle wrap business.
According to Matt Richart, co-owner of Digital EFX Wraps and workshop instructor, Born-to-Wrap teaches attendees everything they need to know to run a vehicle wrap operation, from getting the most of Roland’s advanced digital printers and RIP software to pricing jobs and dealing with customers. “By attending these workshops, participants can learn all the things it took us years to discover, mostly through the school of hard knocks, over the course of just a couple of days,” said Richart. “Along with classroom instruction, we simulate a real-world shop environment to let the students put what they’ve learned into practice. That includes designing wraps, working on Roland wide-format printer/cutters to produce the prints, and performing actual vehicle wrap installations.”
