Smith's appointment follows the untimely loss of  CEO Lawrence Dall in September of last year, after losing his battle with cancer.

 

Smith brings with him many years of experience from Sun Chemical, where he was managing director of the UK-Nordic division. He studied at Loughborough University where he gained a BSc in Economics, and in 2007 was awarded an MBA from Cranfield University’s School of Management.

 

Smith joined Sun as a graduate in 1999 within the sales function, but subsequently gained a breath of experience from a variety of roles within the business, including operations. More recently, Smith successfully led strategic business transformation projects and took on leadership roles within the UK packaging division.

 

Smith joins Parkside at an exciting time, as the business looks to build on its continued success in Europe and Asia, through its focused innovations program. Smith's leadership will build on this strong foundation as the business faces new challenges ahead.
