Solvent-Based Flexo Lamination Ink SystemToyo Ink America has released the XJK system to the North American flexo market. The company says the system exhibits excellent print quality, higher pigment transfer, multiple film versatility and high-performance printed properties. XJK was designed especially for flat-top dot plate technology with clean process print quality and solid wet out. The ink system has a wide range of substrate compatibility and is recommended for adhesive and primed extrusion lamination packages. XJK excels in heat-seal bond areas in packages. The excellent resolubility of the resin system allows for clean running fine-type and screen applications with newer high-speed presses. Inks are formulated to use anilox roll cell counts from 600 to 1,400. With XJK being formulated for high speeds, it also has very low solvent retention and odor. The inks are HAPs-, TDI- and tin-free. Colors available consist of standard, bleed-resistant, permanent and high-performance pigment choices. Seven color process sets are available for expanded gamut.
