Vetaphone scored another major success at the recently held Labelexpo show in Brussels with almost 70 of its corona surface treatment stations either in active use at the show or on static display – by quick reckoning, this accounted for more than 85 percent of all corona technology at the expo.

One of the highlights was the fitment to Mark Andy’s top of the range digital/flexo hybrid press, the Digital Series HD model. Shown for the first time at an expo in Europe, the DS is the only true hybrid available from any narrow web manufacturer, and now offers extended palette printing with CMYK plus OGV and a digital white. Capable of handling a wide variety of substrates including shrink film, the best quality surface treatment is a must, and Vetaphone was delighted to extend its ongoing cooperative partnership with the American press manufacturer for this cutting-edge press.

Vetaphone corona technology is already standard fitment to all Mark Andy flexo presses sold in Europe. The expo also proved successful for Vetaphone’s new C8 high-power corona treater, designed for fast running on difficult substrates, and the new single- and double-sided web cleaning units, which were exhibited for the first time at Labelexpo in Europe.
