The Massman Companies has announced that it has acquired DTM Packaging and Custom Automation, a leader in machinery manufacturing and re-manufacturing as well as the integration and automation of production lines. DTM will join the other companies that currently make up the Massman Companies: Massman Automation Designs, EDL Packaging Engineers, PASE Group, Massman Talon, Elliott Manufacturing and Ideal-Pak.
“We are excited that DTM is joining our group of companies,” said Massman Companies Group president Jeff Bigger in announcing the acquisition. “DTM’s capacity for sophisticated integration projects strengthens Massman’s integrated solutions capabilities, and its commitment to quality and customer service fits well with our own performance standards. DTM will add significantly to the Massman goal of maximizing the ways that we are able to meet our customers’ needs.”
DTM Packaging manufactures and remanufactures bottling, packaging and custom automation equipment. It can provide one piece of customized equipment or an entire packaging line, utilizing all new equipment or integrating new machinery with remanufactured machinery. The result is a highly efficient, value-added packaging system. “
Joining the Massman Companies, DTM becomes part of a growing supplier of innovative packaging systems, expanding our marketplace and our technology base as we interact with the other group members,” said Kim Doble, president and managing partner of DTM. “The fit between our two business models promises to ensure continued growth and success.”
The Massman Companies began with the founding of Massman Automation and Design in 1978. In the years since, acquisitions have created the Massman Companies, a team of machinery and technology companies devoted to the principle of “Streamlining Production Through Automation.” That growth expands with the DTM acquisition and will continue to add new technologies, packaging systems and integrated production line capabilities.
