KM Packaging has appointed Stephen Upton as its new business unit director in support of the company’s 2019 growth plans. 
 
In his new role, Upton will spearhead KM Packaging’s push to drive new business in the European and Middle Eastern markets. 
 
Upton brings a wealth of experience drawn from a variety of roles within corporate and small and medium enterprise environments, including founder of Indigo Concept Packaging Limited. Upton has also mentored teens over the last 18 years to help them realise their potential. He has helped more than 150 15- to 16-year-olds.
 
“I am very excited to be joining KM Packaging during such a dynamic period of growth,” Upton says. “I am passionate about using my inclusive leadership style, creativity and strategic, probing mindset to drive new business development, particularly in previously untapped sectors. I look forward to building strong relationships with both KM’s existing European customers and implementing strategy to create new business connections across the European and Middle Eastern markets.” 
 
KM Packaging is undergoing a period of development, adding employees across the business. The company’s customer service team has grown 25 percent since 2016. 
 
Graham Holding, commercial director at KM Packaging, adds: “Stephen’s extensive experience, both in the packaging sector and beyond, will be invaluable to help drive the company’s strategic growth program forward through 2019 and beyond. We are absolutely delighted to have him on board.”
