Mark your calendar for the FPA 2019 Annual Meeting, March 6-8, 2019. The meeting, to be held at the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ, is the flexible packaging industry’s premier event. Each year, it delivers a program that focuses on industry challenges, delivers “big picture” perspectives, and offers great networking opportunities.

Topping this year’s list of speakers is Tammie Jo Shults, Southwest Pilot and former F/A-18 Hornet Pilot. Tammie is an acclaimed airline captain and former United States Navy aviator. Her early interest in flying led to Tammie Jo becoming one of the first female F/A-18 Hornet pilots in the Navy, after overcoming several obstacles due to her gender.

After concluding her Navy career, she became a pilot for Southwest Airlines. Tammie Jo’s incredible history and talent received wide acclaim on April 17, 2018, when she successfully landed a Southwest Boeing 737 after an engine exploded at high altitude, causing multiple system failures and a rapid depressurization. The successful landing in Philadelphia saved 148 lives including passengers and crew.

The agenda also includes Alex Chausovsky, Senior Consulting Advisor for ITR Economics. Alex is a highly experienced market researcher and analyst with more than a decade of expertise across subjects including macroeconomics, industrial manufacturing, energy efficiency, automation, and advanced technology trends. He has consulted and advised companies throughout the U.S., Europe, Brazil, China, and Japan for the last 15 years. Alex is currently responsible for providing reliable industry and company forecasts, presentations, webinars, and economic consulting services for small businesses, trade associations, and Fortune 500 companies across a spectrum of industries.
