BioLogiQ, Inc., a bioplastic resin manufacturing company specializing in plastic products made from renewable resources, has appointed R&F Chemical of Seoul, South Korea, as strategic partner.

R&F Chemical will focus on product development and engineering while also acting as the exclusive South Korean importer and master distributor for BioLogiQ's portfolio of NuPlastiQ BioPolymers.

BioLogiQ uses a proprietary process to produce NuPlastiQ GP BioPolymers (GP) from plants. GP resins contain 100 percent USDA Certified Biobased Content and are ASTM D6400 and EN 13432 certified for compostability. When NuPlastiQ GP is combined with traditional resins, the resulting plastics are stronger and more durable; reduce fossil fuel-based plastic usage and greenhouse gas generation; and maintain the recyclability, compostability or biodegradability of that traditional polymer (i.e., HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP, TPE, EVOH, PLA, PBAT, PHA).

"R&F Chemical is highly respected as a technological leader in the development and production of high-performance and highly sustainable plastic films,” says Brad LaPray, BioLogiQ president and founder. “We are both thrilled and honored to have them work with us to make our bio-based products available in South Korea."

R&F Chemical CEO Peter Park adds: "BioLogiQ's NuPlastiQ resins have the capability to significantly improve the environmental profiles of our films and our customers' end products. This is a very exciting and timely opportunity for us."
