UPM Raflatac has named Diddier Solano as its new area sales director for Mexico and Central America.

Solano will be based in the sales office at UPM Raflatac’s slitting and distribution terminal in Mexico City. The company also operates a terminal in Guadalajara.

Solano joins UPM Raflatac from Zeller Plastik, where he worked since early 2016. Prior to that, he served in various roles at CCL Label, Avery Dennison and QUAD Graphics Mexico. He earned a bachelor's in industrial engineering at the Universidad Tecnológica de México and his master's in business administration from IPADE in Mexico City.

"I am honored to join UPM Raflatac,” Solano said. “What really excites me about this company is their role in leading the labeling industry into a sustainable and innovation-driven future. I look forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead as we expand our business in Mexico and Central America.”

Linnea Keen, vice president, sales, North America, UPM Raflatac, adds: "Widening customer reach around the world is a strategic growth target for UPM Raflatac, and with Diddier's wealth of experience in the packaging and pressure-sensitive labeling industries, we are confident he will be able to lead our team in the region to aim higher than ever before."
