LaserSharp FlexPak now offers combined laser processing and slitting services on a wide web scale for the flexible packaging industry. Its state-of-the-art equipment has been retrofit to a 51.5-inch web width slitter/rewinder to accommodate high speed processing of wide format rolls.
FlexPak laser processes large diameter, wide rolls of material that increases the converting efficiency and product throughput results in overall price reduction for laser converting services. On completion of the converting process, the rolls can be cut into smaller rolls and edge trimmed with its slitting machine running at speeds up to 1,600 fpm. These rolls are then conveniently sized to finished web widths and roll diameter, and are ready to be sent back to the customer.
