Contiweb has expanded its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) sales team as part of its strategy to diversify and expand from the heat-set web-offset market into digital inkjet and packaging and label segments.
Contiweb’s strengthened sales team, in effect Jan. 1, will be led by Sales Director Rutger Jansen, who has supported sales for the company since 1990, including as director of sales and service under Goss Contiweb.
Key contacts include:
- Rob Bosman, area sales manager responsible for Central, Eastern and Northern Europe territories, including Germany, U.K., Scandinavia, Benelux, Switzerland and Austria.
- Jennifer N’Guyen, area sales manager responsible for France, Southern Europe and Northern Africa.
- Davide Pomati, business development in Southern Europe and Northern Africa
- Andreas Pohl, account manager for Central and Eastern Europe territories.
- Richard Miedema, product manager for Contiweb Thallo, will continue supporting worldwide sales channels.
Sales channels throughout the rest of the world will remain unchanged.
“With the growing trend and customer demand for personalisation and customization, technological developments in different sectors and the consolidation of printing companies around the world, the borders between markets are becoming less distinct and have started to overlap”, said Bert Schoonderbeek, Contiweb managing director. “This is the perfect time to revitalise our operations and ensure we communicate the incredible opportunities that Contiweb products offer to print operators of all sizes. We hope this will give our customers throughout EMEA and around the world a clear point of contact for our team. These changes will also empower us to compete in the markets that will drive growth and serve customers to their best advantage.”
In addition to the reinforced sales team, Rien van Tetering will join the team as Process Manager for Contiweb Thallo. Bringing more than 35 years of experience and expertise in flexible packaging, van Tetering will work closely with the sales team to meet Contiweb’s goals.
With a complete ancillary offering in heatset web offset, Contiweb has been developing ancillaries for digital inkjet web production since 2014. In collaboration with HP, Contiweb launched a series of unwinder/splicers and rewinders at drupa 2016, designed to be entirely modular to provide customers with an easy path to full automation at either end of the press line.
As part of a strategic partnership with DG press ServiceS, Contiweb acquired the intellectual propertyof the Thallo web offset packaging press, which has been sold worldwide. The Contiweb Thallo easily accommodates flexo, gravure or digital units for hybrid configurations that maximise flexibility and efficiency for packaging producers.
