Talkin’ Things and PragmatIC have formed a relationship to help drive mass market adoption of smart packaging.
With its U.S. headquarters in Las Vegas, Talkin’ Things is a global smart packaging provider that helps leading brands and packaging companies engage with their consumers through original, personalized marketing campaigns and measure return on investment using a suite of user-friendly tools.
Talkin’ Things will embed PragmatIC’s flexible integrated circuits, FlexICs, into packaging solutions that cost significantly less than comparable silicon-based options, opening up previously inaccessible mass-market segments. In addition, as PragmatIC’s new RFID/NFC FlexICs are flexible and thinner than a human hair. They are imperceptible in flexible packaging, which is one of the fastest growing packaging formats in the home, cosmetic and food/beverage consumer packaged goods industries.
“We are looking forward to working closely with PragmatIC,” said Marcin Pilarz, CEO of Talkin’ Things. “PragmatIC is bringing flexible electronics to market at a price level previously unavailable for smart packaging technologies. Thanks to this, Talkin’ Things will be able to drive interactivity into a broader range of high volume consumer goods than ever before.”
“We are very pleased that Talkin’ Things, a global smart packaging solutions provider has chosen to use our unique FlexICs,” added PragmatIC CEO Scott White. “With its relationships with leading brand owners and packaging companies, Talkin’ Things is ideally positioned to take solutions based on our technology to the mass market.”
