Wisconsin 57th District Representative Amanda Stuck (D-Appleton) recently toured CMD Corporation and met with management and employees to learn more about the Appleton machinery manufacturer’s success.
“We were happy to welcome Representative Stuck and introduce her to some of CMD’s dedicated employees,” says CMD President, Steve Sakai. “CMD has been recognized with several achievements this year and it was a good opportunity to share our philosophies and insights with an interested government representative. We are pleased with Representative Stuck’s interest in local business and employees.

CMD has participated with the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) through the Workforce Advancement Training program at Fox Valley Technical College. The Workforce Advancement Training (WAT) helped CMD employees:
- Build credentials necessary to move along career pathways.
- Enhance leadership skills to more effectively develop employees, enhance collaboration and meet financial goals.
- Gain the skills necessary to contribute to the culture of collaboration necessary for CMD to compete effectively in a global market. Myriad subjects, from advanced problem-solving, emotional intelligence, communication, coaching, conflict resolution, setting performance standards and more were covered in the training.
CMD has worked with Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) International Market Access program to expand internationally. The program has helped the firm with international marketing efforts such as exhibitions at major industry trade shows, international agent representative searches, and development of multi-language marketing materials.
CMD was recently honored with the 2017 Wisconsin Governor’s Achievement Award.
