Following the 2016 move of its Canadian regional official to a 18,000-square-foot showroom and technology center near Toronto, Rotoflex has now transferred full production of its slitter/rewinders and die-cutting machines to Toronto as well.
Production of the machines was formerly managed at the Mark Andy headquarters near St. Louis, Missouri. Company officials say continued sales growth over several years of Rotoflex’s offline finishing solutions, including the newly launched HIS, Vericut3 and Security Series led to this expansion of the Canadian facility.
“The Rotoflex brand continues to be strongly focused on design and providing advanced solutions to respond to our customers’ business,” says Kevin Gourlay, vice president of Rotoflex. “With many legacy design experts and technical specialists in Toronto, having our Canadian facility fully operational with manufacturing was a logical move.”
The manufacturing capacity at Mark Andy resulting from the move will accommodate the company’s growth in the digital market, supporting demand for its growing digital hybrid portfolio.
Live machine demonstrations, retrofits and rebuilds, engineering development, and technical support and services are now all accessible from the Rotoflex Canadian facility.
“Rotoflex is now well-positioned for future growth,” Gourlay says.
