NDC Technologies will debut its latest innovations for narrow web gauging applications at ICE USA in Orlando, Florida, April 25-27, 2017. The new lineup at Booth 901 includes the 8000-SLIM web gauging system with ultra-compact SlimTrak scanner and ConvertIR gauge for fixed-point coat weight and moisture measurements. NDC will also be exhibiting the Beta LaserMike LaserSpeed non-contact length and speed gauge with the highest accuracy in the industry.

The new 8000-SLIM web gauging system with SlimTrak scanner is the converting industry’s answer for a compact measurement system on narrow web lines. The SlimTrak scanner has a small cross-section footprint for tight-space installations and supports NDC’s most popular gauges, such as the IG710 and SR710 infrared gauges or a Gamma Backscatter gauge. The 8000-SLIM system is built on NDC’s renowned TDi quality management software platform and delivers fast, real-time measurement and tight control of key product parameters such as thickness, coat weight, basis weight and moisture. The 8000-SLIM is available in a variety of scanner and gauge configurations to meet the desired narrow web measurement application.

The new ConvertIR gauge provides fixed-point, non-scanning online measurement of paper moisture or coat weight of coatings on paper and films. This infrared gauge is based on NDC’s proven optical filter technology.

Also scheduled for display is the Beta LaserMike LaserSpeed gauge from NDC. LaserSpeed measures the length and speed of any moving surface with better than ±0.03 percent accuracy and without contacting the product.
