Lamy Chopin has joined the Liqui-Box team as a technical manager in the R&D department. Chopin joins Liqui-Box after an extensive career with Dow Chemical, where he was a global development leader in the company’s packaging and specialty plastics group.
With nearly 20 years of experience in plastic and polymer applications, Chopin has commercialized technologies in the automotive, construction and consumer packaging market segments, including commercializing sealant, reclosable and recyclable packaging technologies. He has received multiple R&D 100 awards, a 2016 Trashie award from the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and is the holder of 15 patents ranging from plastic packaging to biochemistry. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Spring Hill College and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Florida State University.
