ProAmpac has announced that its facilities in Westfield, Massachusetts, and Hanover Park, Illinois, have been awarded Level 2 Food Safety Management Certifications by the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program.
With prior certification of its Neenah, Wisconsin, and Terrebonne, Quebec, operations, ProAmpac now has four large-scale manufacturing facilities Level 2 certified by the SQF program. SQF is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI) as well as retailers and foodservice providers around the world who require a rigorous, credible food safety management system.
“By having multiple SQF-certified facilities, ProAmpac offers customers redundant manufacturing scale at an exceptional value in a safe, controlled environment,” says chief commercial officer Adam Grose. “ProAmpac is committed to quality systems and certifications that support our customers’ growth and success.”
Adds Rob Manning, VP of quality: “As the requirements for food safety continue to grow, so does ProAmpac’s commitment to SQF certification. SQF certification is critical to ensuring our customers have an environment that produces safe products. ProAmpac is proud to have a system in place for monitoring, validating and improving the manufacturing of flexible packaging materials and plans to acquire additional SQF facility certifications in 2017.”
