“Learn. Learn. Learn.” That’s how FPA’s new President and CEO, Alison Keane, Esq., describes her biggest activity at PACK EXPO International held in early November in Chicago, IL.

She took full advantage of one of North America’s largest tradeshows for processing and packaging professionals. It let her meet other industry leaders, visit FPA member company booths, and attend educational sessions.

“I saw how innovative designs and flexible packaging solutions solve brand owner and consumer needs,” Keane said. “I also heard that FPA is one of the best associations, yet, I got encouragement that it still has room to grow.”

Of particular importance was learning about the industry’s technical side and hearing — in common terms — how the industry solves customer needs.

At PACK EXPO, she also got to see how FPA’s partnership with the event helps advance the flexible packaging industry. FPA supported PACK EXPO International at the Tier 1 level as it joined more than 25 leading associations in exchanging ideas and collaborating on the future of processing and packaging.
