Sun Print Solutions has agreed to be a beta site for Komori America Corp.’s Impremia NS40, a sheet-fed inkjet press equipped with Landa Nanography.
“Having Sun Print Solutions agree to be a beta site for the Impremia NS40 is very exciting, as I know it will be a perfect fit for the creative work this company produces,” says Jacki Hudmon, senior vice president of new business development at Komori America. “We look forward to working with them as they test the infinite possibilities of the Impremia NS40.”
The Impremia NS40, officials say, creates an entirely new digital printing category, employing water-based inks and combining the versatility of digital with the quality and speed of offset printing.
“Watching the Impremia NS40 in action, I was excited because with this press the offset and digital worlds finally merged,” says Jeff Isbell, president of Sun Print Solutions. “Whether the job is short run, long run or requires variable data, the press no longer cares. It just delivers superior print quality for each type of job at a low cost per page. It allows us to move work from our current offset and digital equipment for a savings in both time and money that we can pass on to our customers.”
Impremia NS40 can print on any off-the-shelf substrate – such as coated and uncoated paper stocks, recycled carton, newsprint and plastic packaging films – without requiring any kind of pretreatment or special coating. The use of water-based inks also makes it energy-efficient and eco-friendly.
