At this year’s Labelexpo Americas, taking place Sept. 13-15 in Rosemont, Illinois, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, UPM Raflatac will be demonstrating how its latest product innovations can help companies distinguish their brands.

The company will introduce new polypropylene and polyethylene terephthalate options to its metalized and foil product family, which boast high-quality graphics, and excellent ink reception and performance, company officials say.

UPM Raflatac will also showcase its new trademarked Vanish 120 products, which are constructed with a thin 1.2 mil PET face material that offers all of the benefits of its Vanish 92 materials, but with increased stiffness for better dispensing on standard equipment.

For special labeling applications, the company will feature new solutions for various markets, including the wine, spirits and craft beverage markets. UPM Raflatac’s label stock constructions are tested for enduring adhesion on specific surface types and in a range of environmental conditions. From economical semi-gloss options, like the 50# Raflacoat, to smoother print surfaces like Raflasilk, the company will be showcasing plenty of options from its renewed prime papers portfolio, as well.

As part of UPM Raflatac’s presence at Labelexpo Americas, the company will be hosting a fashion show, where models will be walking down the catwalk dressed in designs constructed out of label stock materials. To catch the show, stop by booth #729 on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.; or Thursday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m.

UPM Raflatac is also partnering with Labelexpo Americas to provide a solution for label converters to responsibly dispose of their label, matrix and liner waste. Attendees are invited to visit the company’s waste collection feature area at booth #1245, where they can find more information and speak with company experts.

“UPM Raflatac is a frontrunner in providing solutions for managing label waste, and we look forward to partnering with our customers and their end-users on our road toward ‘zero waste to landfill’ and promoting recycling,” says Tyler Matusevich, sustainability specialist at UPM Raflatac. “We will collect their label waste and showcase it in our feature area. This will provide prospective that there are a lot of opportunities to utilize label waste as a resource to make new products or energy.”
